Here in Tennessee, summer lasts a little bit longer than the
northern part of the country. This means we still have time to celebrate the
end of summer in Memphis with festivals and other events. Here are a few that
are sure to help you usher in the fall season in style.
Orion Free Music Concert Series
This music series is all about the end of summer. It occurs every week on Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through October 12th. If you want to listen to some quality local music, the concerts are held at the Levitt Shell and start at 7:00 pm.
Hot Rod Night on Beale Street
If you love cars as much as we do, be sure to head to Beale Street on September 24th and October 22nd for Hot Rod Night. You can see these smoking hot cars from 6:00 to 10:00 pm each night. If you don’t have a Beale Street parking pass, be sure to park somewhere else.
Memphis Japan Festival
If you have always been curious about The Land of the Rising Sun, the Japan-America Society of Tennessee will host its annual Japan Festival on September 29th at the Memphis Botanic Garden. There will be martial arts demonstrations, arts & crafts, a children’s area, and music and dance performance.
